3 day eventing is all three events that I have mentioned previously (Dressage, Show jumping and Cross Country) taking place as they say in three days.

There are many 3 day eventing trials throughout the country, an example of this is Bramham Horse Trials, in Yorkshire.  It is one of the major events that attracts the major competitors throughout the country and the world.

It is a time when individuals get to see horsemanship at the highest possible standard, and it is at horse trails that competitors and spectators alike have an enjoyable time

The dressage phase takes the form of the first test, to help asses the control and the precise movements between the horse and rider and that they work as one, from this the judge will give points for the style and the actions of the horse and rider
The cross country phase is the second phase which is like the endurance part of the whole event, it is from the timing of this that actually influences how well the competitors are doing within the trail.  This then gives them an idea as to how well they need to perform in there final event which is the show jumping.

It is after the points from each section of the trail have been added up that the competitors actually find out how well they have done.  Within the major competitors it tells them  how well they have done as both an individual and as a group.

Within three day eventing it is essential that all horse are 15 hands high or over, so know ponies can be ridden within these competitions.
If individuals have been riding from a young age it is possible that they can start to join groups, which will take you to participate in local three day events and local horse trails.
